While the council is in session, all individuals present must preserve order, decency, and decorum at all times and no individual shall inappropriately delay or interrupt the proceedings or the peace of the council. No individual shall use any inappropriate, degrading, slanderous, or foul language about any members of the council, the mayor, town staff, a member of the public, or any other individual. Discussion shall relate to the matters at hand and shall be aimed at the expeditious resolution of the business before the council. The chair shall request that any person in attendance at meetings who violates these rules of decorum leave the meeting. [Ord. 531 § 1 (2.01.110), 2013.]
