A. Adoption. The designation, location and boundaries of the various districts are shown on the official zoning map. The official zoning map is hereby adopted and made part of this title.

B. Location – Identification. The official zoning map shall be on file in the public works department office. The map shall be identified by the signatures of the town clerk and town attorney and bears the title, “Town of South Prairie Zoning Map, Unified Development Ordinance, September 28, 1999.”

C. Display Zoning Map. In addition to the official zoning map, there may be a display zoning map, which may be used to indicate the various districts, but not to locate precise boundaries.

D. Amendments. If changes are made in the district boundaries or other matters portrayed by the official zoning map, such changes shall be entered on the official zoning map after the amendment has been approved by the town council. The signature of the town clerk and the town attorney shall be entered on the official zoning map with the ordinance number of the amendment. Each amendment shall be filed as part of the official zoning record.

E. Unclassified Property. All property not otherwise classified on the official zoning map shall be treated as follows:

1. Interim Zoning. All property not otherwise classified on the official zoning map is hereby placed in an interim zone. The provisions applicable to the residential R-1 zone shall govern an interim zone.

2. Upon the town being made aware of property in the interim zoning designation, the town planner shall commence all necessary steps to zone such property. Interim zoning of property shall be for six months unless otherwise provided by this title.

3. Upon annexation of property, the property will be given R zoning until that time the town council shall change the zoning designation as provided by this code. [Ord. 378 § 2 (Exh. 1), 1999.]
