Any person who commences any work for which a permit is required before obtaining the necessary permits shall be subject to an investigation fee. The investigation fee shall be in addition and equal to the amount of the permit fee required by this code. The minimum investigation fee shall be equal to the amount of the permit fee excluding the plan check fee set forth by South Prairie town council. The payment of such investigation fee shall not exempt any person from compliance with all other provisions of this code nor from any penalty prescribed by law. [Ord. 636 § 1, 2024.]
