A. Every person, firm or corporation desiring to maintain or conduct tables within the town of South Prairie for the use of the patrons of such person, firm or corporation in playing cards and for which a charge or compensation is paid by the patrons so using such card tables shall before leasing or hiring such card tables first obtain a license therefor and shall pay to the town clerk for said license the sum of $25.00 per month for each such table, such license fee to be payable in advance.

B. The license hereinbefore provided shall be issued by the town clerk upon payment by the applicant of the fee provided in subsection A of this section.

C. Any license issued under the provision of this section may be revoked by resolution of the town council for any cause deemed sufficient by it to warrant such revocation.

D. Any person violating the provisions of this section shall upon conviction thereof be fined in any sum not less than $5.00 nor more than $100.00. [Ord. 55 §§ 1 – 4, 1970.]
