A. The license issued under the provisions of this chapter is personal and is not transferable or assignable.

B. In the event that ownership of a business changes, the new owner must obtain a license for the business as provided for in this chapter. The new owner may not commence business within the town under the acquired business until the license has been approved.

C. If a licensee wishes to change the location of a business within the town, the licensee must notify the Business Licensing Service sufficiently prior to the intended move to allow the town clerk to review the change. Such a change of location may require submitting a new application for license. The town clerk will approve the new business location within the town, as long as no grounds exist for denial or revocation of the license, as set forth in SPMC 5.05.130. Business may not commence at the new location until approved by the town clerk. [Ord. 606 § 2 (Exh. A), 2021.]
